Anyone who is remotely paying attention to my Twitter page or website would know who Shemar Nelson is. The last few years he has made the top 10 plays a few times and we have written about him on the website too. He’s an ultra quick slot receiver who is just a playmaker pure and simple. He doesn’t have a big frame, but elusiveness in the open field when combined with confidence has led to some huge plays during his HS career. The 2021 does a very good job of looking the pass in, and can make tough catches in traffic. Needs to pack on weight, he’s added about 15 lbs. over the last year, so needs to keep that trend going. Nelson is a quick reactor to the defender and does an incredible job of reading them in the open field and slipping out of the tackle. Speed has improve some, that is most likely a byproduct of the added muscle. Good specialist too, Nelson can break off big plays especially as a returner where he can make quick decisions in tight spaces.
