Another Marshall coming thru the pipeline at South Paulding. The 2021 defensive back had a very strong year with 95 tackles, 7 tackles for loss, 2 INT’s and 5 PBU’s on the year. He made our HM All-State team due to his effort. Marshall has very good size at 6’2″ and almost 200 lbs. He throws a shoulder into the receiver when going down the middle and has some brutal hits on film. Tackling is definitely his strong suit, and looks like a good fit to play SS at the next level. He has good acceleration to the ball and pretty efficient at finishing off his tackle. Form is pretty solid but would like to see him drive his legs more thru the attempt. Marshall was close to being the top defender on a top 10 team in 6-A. He has okay coverage skills and does a nice job of playing the football up top. He looks good in zone and man coverage and does a good job of reading his assignment despite the offense running rub routes, he stays disciplined. Marshall looks like an FBS recruit, and should be around 215 at the college level.
