Sevon Smith looks like a player who could be a breakout senior this fall. The super quick receiver showed some flashes at Archer as a junior, where his adept hands reliably hauled in passed over the middle. Smith doesn’t have blazing speed tho, but his quickness is exceptional with a 4.18 shuttle time, which is especially highlighted on short routes. He needs to be able to utilize his quickness better though in space after the catch, where he seems to be a shade slow reacting to the defenses and their pursuit angles. Smith will be one of those guys who will pop this year though. He has done well in the camp circuit and should get a lot of targets now at Meadowcreek who will pass the air out of the football this year.
