Riley has some legit speed into the open field, and though he is only about 5’7″ on a good day, the 2024 prospect just blows by defenders coming around the corner. His straight-line speed makes for some really explosive plays over 40 yards. He’s a pretty dynamic receiver too, showing very reliable hands when releasing upfield on play actions. That also translates over to punt returner too. Riley has good balance, bouncing off tacklers and keeping his feet moving. Though Riley is fairly dynamic as a straight-line runner, we would like to see more explosiveness with him coming out of his cuts senior year. Considering his size, having great lateral quickness is almost a prerequisite to being a contributor at the next level. Riley has been an impact player for Berrien since his freshman year. He plays both basketball and track on top of football making him a three-sport athlete. Riley is certainly a spread option back at the end of the day, the type of player you can get on the perimeter or leak out as a receiver for big gainers.
