Robert Long – OG
North Gwinnett

#77 OFFENSIVE GUARD

HT: 6’6″
WT: 315
Class: 2022

Robert Long is legit one of the biggest offensive linemen in the state of Georgia. A lot of athletes claim to be pretty big, but the 2022 lineman legit sticks out on the field. He’s got pretty good balance while engaged. Does tend to have pads too high while blocking, but shear size moves smaller HS defenders with ease. He’s a taller OG prospect. Feet are not quick enough to play OT at this current point in time at the next level. Pretty quick getting out his stance though, and does a solid job of driving his legs through the block. Overall, Long is well trained, but needs to work on flexibility to be more consistent on getting low when he blocks. Also, wouldn’t mind to see the big man pancake more prominent players on film, right now it’s mostly smaller defenders. Getting quicker upfield will help a lot more when he is pulling – North Gwinnett certainly uses here a lot and it’s not due to speed but above average balance to scoop block on the perimeter. I like Long for sure, and he does have some upside. Good motor while blocking. Getting quicker and stronger in general will be huge for him.
