At the start of this season Roper has really improved moving around in the pocket and creating extra time for his receivers to get open. He is doing an outstanding job of relocating and identifying open receivers. Roper is one of the leading passers in the state of Georgia and on pace to lead 7A. He is throwing perfectly led football downfield. That stood out right from game 1 of his senior year. It’s remarkable to see Roper improve so much. A player who was fighting for playing time as a sophomore at Woodstock now leading a top 10 team in 7A. Roper is performing surgery finding the open receiver doing a great job of looking off the defense and finding the open guy. His ability to see the field is a true talent, but also the location of his throws, especially in the redzone and on the sideline have been pinpoint. It’s hard to argue against Roper’s D1 upside.
