What makes you stand out as a future collegiate athlete?

Play hard, play fast, and play smart. For any team I play for, my goal is to lead the team with this mindset. While working hard in the weight room, approaching each practice like game time, and constantly studying the playbook, I rely on this mindset to reach my full potential. As a result, I have developed a lifelong passion for football.

However, my successful outlook is not limited to the football field; I approach academics with the same mentality. I am dedicated to giving my personal best to go above and beyond the requirements in the classroom. By taking AP classes in high school, I have exposed myself to college level courses and challenged myself to earn college credit.

The values and skills that I developed throughout my football and academic experiences have prepared me to be successful at the next level in college.

Lowery looks like a tough defensive back who uses every ounce of his size to make an impact on the field. Pursuit angles are just okay right now, he closes out quickly, but has a tendency to not take the most direct path to the ball carrier – it’s improved a bit in his junior season. Lowery gets his hands inside the receivers’ and can really disrupt a receiver’s concentration. He’s a good fit for a zone defense. Already can close out quickly on the ball carrier when the QB dumps down into the flat. Lowery has added 10 lbs to his frame and really looking good in coverage in his camp film this summer. Shows a pretty quick backpedal, and pretty physical in coverage too.
