What makes you stand out as a future collegiate athlete?
My determination. My will and my respect for the game. I play with a chip on my shoulder in every game and every other sport. The love I have for the game is unexplainable. I play every game as if its my last and I'm always looking for the big play and hit of course. I just wanna be great at everything the best way I know how.
The new Westlake transfer plays the game with a ton of intensity, which just has to be infectious for his teammates. Thomas has great speed in open field and from the video we have seen from this offseason he looks even quicker, especially in the hips. He might lack prototypical size, but he is a sure tackler, and a dynamic player once the ball is in his hands (really effective on offense too). Thomas will stick a shoulder into the ball carrier, and seems to relish opportunities for a big hit. He plays with his ears pinned back and he gets low to the ground on his tackle attempts.
This kid is the real deal. He plays with a lot of heart on the field no matter who he’s up against. To him height doesn’t matter. He has a few gray areas here and there but overall he’s an athlete always looking for the Big play. He would be a great asset to any Coaches team. He just needs a chance.
