Bush had one of the best touchdown to interception ratios in the state converting on 29 and only losing on 3. The 6’1″ 195 lbs. quarterback was also completing at around 70%. Sure, he has one of the best WR’s in the country to throw to, but not all of his balls go that direction. He makes some nice throws where he leads the receiver extremely well. Doesn’t get fazed by pressure in the pocket, has several plays where he gets his legs taken out right after he throws. Pretty good fundamentals, does a good job of stepping into throws. Definitely good footwork and a pretty quick release too. Bush has average arm strength, and would definitely like to see him put the football more on a line. Sometimes it is warranted, and he does show a very good touch on passes down the sideline. His ability to lead the receiver is by far his best skill set – he is very good at that. Just a natural ability at it. To me, he is one of the more under the radar QB’s in the entire state. Maybe it’s because his team historically only runs the ball, but in 2019 Bush put up 1900 yards thru the air, and I really like his timing with his receiver and ability to lead. He needs to become a bigger threat as a runner in 2020, that will certainly help a lot.
