Ervin is a pretty good slot back threat with above average acceleration and a nice forward lean to his running stride. He looks to have gained some weight last year, and is now around 165. There is nod bout that he explodes with his first step, just watching him squirt through a tiny hole is scattered all throughout his film. He has good core strength, and takes on contact and keeps his feet. I like how he reads the defenders, and has good vision with his cutbacks. Ervin is a solid athlete for sure, his above average running vision allows for him to see holes that a lot of backs do not see, and I like his vision in the open field, but also in-between the tackles too.
