What makes you stand out as a future collegiate athlete?

What makes me stand out as a future collegiate athlete is my willingness to work, and win. I have great speed off the ball, know how to work my hands, and can make plays. Also take my academics and weight lifting serious.

Houston was one of the state leaders with 16.5 sacks on the year and he even forced 4 fumbles on the year too. Amazingly, 1/3rd over half of his tackles resulted in a loss. The Cross Creek defender is a well-put-together athlete standing around 6’2″ and 230 lbs, which is a nice 20 lbs. increase from last year. Watching him sprint out to the sideline, it’s clear that Houston is swift to the football. He has D1 acceleration, and honestly, looks like a linebacker with how quickly he can chase down the ball carrier. His reported 9’6″ broad jump is very impressive. Houston does need to improve his tackling, getting lower with his strike and not arm tackling as much as he does. His production in 2023 was amazing, especially when you consider that he plays in a more run-oriented region. He will certainly catch the attention of college scouts. Houson did receive his first D1 offer by way of Charleston Southern in March 2024. We would like to see Houston continue to work on getting off blocks and getting quicker with his hands and feet. At the end of the day, he is a no doubt D1 athlete with the type of versatility to play several positions at the next level depending on how he fills out.
