What makes you stand out as a future collegiate athlete?
My skill level at defensive tackle makes me stand out i’m strong, quick with my hands and feet, and i have good lateral movement. Im also 1 of the top tackling players on the team and i’m the #1 defensive tackle in the county.
Smith continues to fill out his frame and get stronger from last fall when we first found out about him. The big 2025 is now benching over 300 lbs. and making progress with his lower body. The 2025 defensive tackle is a fighter in the middle. Popping out his stance quickly, showing strong hands at the point of attack. He is looking to mix it up and does a good job of utilizing those big mitts to redirect offensive linemen. He has a lot of potential watching how he moves, and his ability to hit top speed in a few strides. Smith needs to work on his pad level, but even so, he does a great job of getting leverage, which you can attribute to his long arms. He does a nice job of getting underneath the pads of the offensive lineman, very well trained in that respect. Smith is about 10 lbs heavier over the last 6 months. There is no rush to gain weight given his athletic upside, and he is still just scratching at the surface of his potential. By the time he is a contributor in college, he should be over 300 lbs. Smith is a 2025 recruit with solid G5 interest currently, but Power schools could very well enter the picture very soon. Watch out for Smith during the evaluation period.
