What makes you stand out as a future collegiate athlete?

I work hard in the classroom I’m very dependable and I’m a good teammate

Mays is one of the more underrated defensive linemen in the state of Georgia. Showing elite versatility playing both with his hand on the ground and off, the 6’2″ 270 lbs. defender changes directions remarkably well, reacting to the ball carrier on the fly. Considering his frame, it’s truly amazing how Mays is able to move. He is an explosive athlete who hits with impact. Very efficient getting the ball carrier down, shows solid leg drive, and wraps up the attempts pretty consistently. Mays does need to get quicker off the line and continue to work on his pad level. Considering his athletic upside, it’s hard to see how Power 4 programs have not offered yet. Mays boasts a 3.8 GPA and fundamentals are foundational strong with good hand placement and a pretty quick swim move to get off blocks, albeit more times than not he is just simply too athletic for the OL blocking, Mays can blossom at the next level. The 2025 defender offers a level of athleticism and size that college coaches covet, and his recruitment stock should continue to blossom during this evaluation period.
