What makes you stand out as a future collegiate athlete?

I made 2nd team all region in GA 6a football. I had 35+ pancakes. I’m a team player. I get amazing grades. Gwinnett September player of the month.

Martin has shown to be one of the stronger guys in his recruiting class this offseason with most notably a 385 lbs. bench press. You don’t need a crystal ball to see that Martin will be bench pressing over 400 lbs. going into college, and that alone should perk up the attention of your average D1 college offensive line coach. Not only is Martin strong up top, but he is a functional athlete who does an excellent job of setting up his block with his feet. Martin’s ability to adjust and move laterally allows for the big lineman to get to the 2nd level and make tough blocks in space. At the same time, he shows light feet in pass protection and does a good job of sliding his feet with speed rushers to the outside. Granted he needs to continue to improve his footwork and be more concise with his kick-step. He also needs to improve flexibility and generally improve his pad level while engaged. Martin plays strong though, and has some good versatility at the next level to play across the LOS. His ability to block in space for such a big athlete is impressive, and what Power programs look for. As of now, he looks like a better fit at offensive guard or right tackle, but given more time and experience, he has the frame and athleticism to be a left tackle.
