Bowens has a really nice frame at 6’3″ and will be well over 200 lbs in college, probably closer to 230 in fact. He doesn’t exactly burn downfield, but shows a pretty solid release. It’s fairly evident that Bowens plays baseball, or at least shows good timing and the ability to gauge the pass like a baseball player. He is powerful with his blocking, gets good leverage and has nice hand placement staying inside the pads – really good leg drive. He could potentially grow into a TE in fact. Spring game he made a really nice catch in the back of the end zone over two defenders. Route running needs some work, but he could be pretty productive as a big play target for the Tigers.
