What makes you stand out as a future collegiate athlete?

I think I’m one of the hardest-hitting linebackers in 2019.

Butler is coming out of the evaluation period with solid momentum. The 2019 OLB has added some necessary weight to his frame and is now over 200 lbs after playing more around 180 last year. Butler prides himself on being a big hitter, and he does a terrific job of meeting the ball carrier square in the numbers. He is well schooled at tackling, does a good job of dropping his hips and exploding through at the waist. He generates a lot of power for his lighter frame, and think with more work with his power clean you’ll see even bigger hits. He’s a nice candidate to play a hybrid OLB/SS role at the next level. He shows the speed and aggressiveness to to react quickly to pass plays and make a quick short tackle. He is better suited in a zone where he can clean up tackles mostly in the flat as height will be an issue as he gets deeper into coverage. Butler is perfect for the spread offense, and it’s really encouraging seeing him drop guys who ended up signing with SEC schools. Watching his spring film and you can absolutely see a good 10-15 lb increase in Butler, especially in the lower body. I can see him getting close to 220 at the next level. Seeing him continue to work on his backpedal and maybe even make some plays in man coverage would really help his chances to getting a lot of D1 looks.
