What makes you stand out as a future collegiate athlete?

I started playing football in the third grade because I was a high energy kid who loved to hit. Now as a three year varsity player, I still feel the love and energy for the game. Football teaches important life skills like accountability, leadership, and cooperation which ensure success on the field and in the classroom. I also play basketball and run track because I enjoy competing year round. I have a passionate work ethic, demonstrate leadership on and off the field, and put the team and coaches before myself.

Faith and family greatly influence who I am. I am fortunate to have great role models. Following their example, I challenge myself academically and athletically to achieve my personal best. Making decisions based on my priorities leads to team and personal success, including winning back to back region championships and maintaining a 4.0 GPA.

Burnett flows to the football quickly and shows solid lateral quickness and change of direction. I really like how physical he is with his hands. The 2019 recruit is strong at the point of attack. He is use to playing way outside on the edge, and does a solid job of using his speed to get into the backfield. I would like to see him improve his lower body strength so he can really drive the ball carrier back on contact. I really like the hustle from Burnett and think he can get to be around 220-225 at the next level. He seems like a really smart player, and does a great job of reacting to the play quickly. Very smart in the classroom too. Definitely a recruit that should attract strong academic schools.
