Broughton is a smart and instinctual defender who sits back in his free safety spot making really nice breaks on passes. He has a really quick first step and tracks the pass like a receiver, putting himself at great catching angles. He plays with a ton of urgency, he’s full speed once he has a beat on the play, and despite lacking prototypical size, he is very physical. The 2018 DB tackles with authority and once again takes excellent angles on his attempts. Really like his speed coming off the edge, which appears to be legit, and think he could potentially play cornerback at the next level too. On special teams he delivers massive hits on blocking attempts. Really think Broughton can play at the FBS level, his instincts just cannot be taught and he just makes plays.
