What makes you stand out as a future collegiate athlete?

Nominated Varsity 2018 Offensive Player of Week; Received Freshman Football Outstanding Offensive Player of the Year Award; Freshman Stats: 1,024 rushing yards, 113 receiving yards, total offensive yards 1,137, 15 TD’s.

Young McFarlane broke off a few long runs for the varsity squad late in the year that certainly caught our attention during his freshman year. He was a participant at our first combine, and despite running in frigid weather, he was the fastest of any underclassmen athletes. McFarlane can flat out run too, and shows a nice skill set at running back. He shows good patience flaring out to the flat on screen passes and corrals the pass in with soft hands. The class of 2022 athlete has above average patience reading his blocks and does a nice job of redirecting once he is past the 2nd level for the most yards possible. McFarlane has a nice forward lean, and he gets good yardage after contact keeping his feet moving. McFarlane played at Denmark his sophomore year, and was fighting for reps with a stacked backfield. Now his junior year is underway, and he is now 199 lbs. playing for North Gwinnett. McFarlane has pretty much improved in every area we were looking for back when we did his scouting report a few years back. He is running through tackles, and still showing that good top end speed.
