What makes you stand out as a future collegiate athlete?

2nd all team 7A for GHSAA, most tackles on the Hillgrove roster my sophomore year, recently received top DB at MVP camp, multiple player of the weeks in GHSA region. Leader in the weight room and locker room. A contagious player that gets to the football anyway he has to. I WORK.

McKinney is a stout defensive back who plays with a lot of intensity. He is looking to seek out contact when on the field. McKinney is extremely aggressive in coverage and in several instances he just rips the ball straight from the receivers hands before he can haul in the pass. He looks solid in coverage reacting to the play and reading the QB’s eyes. Tackling is physical, and I like the leg drive but would like to see his strike a bit lower, plus he does arm tackle a good bit. He’s okay in zone coverage but would like to see him break up more passes in these situations too. McKinney is good against the run getting downhill and is active getting off blocks. I would like to see him improve his hip quickness and lateral speed. He is a sound tackler in space but definitely could clean stuff up in that situation. I really do like his motor though, McKinney has relentless effort on each play and he does find ways to get his hands around the football.
