Rutledge had only played basketball for most of his life up until 2020, but he already shows a ton of upside as a DT or OG at the next level. He is quick and explosive. Hits with impact, you would never guess that he has never played football before with the physicality he plays with. Rutledge’s lateral quickness at 6’4″ and 290 lbs. is unique – you just do not see an athlete of his size move like this. If his junior film showed potential as a blocker, then his senior year is really something special. There aren’t many better pure run blockers in the state of Georgia than Rutledge. He has incredible core strength and shows elite body control/leg drive while engaged. Rutledge is one of the most dominating players in his region and is just bullying opponents like a P5 football player would. He might be lined up at TE for Franklin County, but he is a special talent at OG at the next level.
