Smith plays close to the line of scrimmage due to the physical nature of his plays. He looks best suited in a 4-2-5 defense where he can play out on the flat and utilized as a blitzer at time like he did in HS. Smith plays with good eyes and does a great job of using his speed to shadow the ball-carrier or read where the QB is looking. The senior went up against plenty of FBS-caliber recruits at RB and displayed good 1 v 1 tackling in those situations. He plays about 20 pounds heavier than his listed height and could be an early impact player on special teams.
