Grant is a big bodied wide receiver recruit that we’ve had good expectations for the last few years. I really like how fluid of an athlete he is becoming too, shows really good change of direction. He’s really close to turning the corner as a wide receiver, and really impressed with his physicality to go down the middle or dominate a cornerback out on the sideline. Would like to see him continue to improve lower body strength, especially in the hips. He proved to be a good redzone target last fall, but want to see him really grow into a possession role senior year. I’ve always been really high on Grant, and this season he is really making a huge impact going down the middle of the field. He’s more of that hybrid TE/WR role lining up in the slot, and has really taken home to that role. Grant’s route running looks much improve, he’s done some nice work with his footwork. Overall he looks to have added more strength in his lower body. Option teams might interested in him as a blocker too, but Grant needs more work in getting quality hand placement and leveraging the defender more.

Saw him every game this season and all the kid needs is time. Good hands. Strong, especially after catch. Quiet. A team player. Good news for Lovejoy.

He has improved a great deal in his game plan. Concentration was stellar this past season. Should have a big senior year.
