Powell is a stocky QB prospect who can flat out sling the football downfield. The 2022 recruit can throw the football on a line. Making some tough throws on the run and with a good bit of congestion in the pocket. The 2022 QB can easily launch the ball 50 yards down field with out even setting his feet. As a runner, no one will say Powell is very fast, but he is physical and gets his pads down low before taking on tacklers, usually falling forward. He is fearless in stepping up in the pocket. Powell has some legit tools, primarily having a very strong arm. An improvement with his footwork in the pocket, and mostly just getting a lot quicker laterally will help Powell’s case for D1 attention. Powell was an All-Bi-City QB, and certainly has the acumen and feel at QB that makes him one of the best in West Georgia.
