Jonathan Brown – OLB
Riverwood

#15 OUTSIDE LINEBACKER

HT: 6’2″
WT: 225
GPA: 3.1

Brown had 20 sacks on the year, and that alone is going to grab my attention. He played at DE and DT. Has pretty good hands getting off blocks, looks to have long arms – claims to have a 6’10” wing span, so that definitely explains how he was able to get off blocks so easily. Does a pretty good job of sticking with his assignment and does not overpursue the ball carrier. Definitely has a nose for the ball, and comes from the backside to clean up tackles. Brown is a high-energy guy with a solid frame to work with. He will have to line up at OLB at the next level, but with his energy and work ethic, that should be a pretty easy transition. Brown was the Region Player of the Year in 2019, and was one of the state leaders in sacks. Has already put on another 20 lbs. since last fall, and if he continues that way, he could potentially play with his hand on the ground and be over 250 lbs., but probably a better fit at 3-4 OLB.
