Thomas is one of the strongest players in this recruiting class. The 6′ 310 lbs. defensive tackle maxed out 610 lbs on his squat recently. In game, he uses his lower body strength well, driving his legs through the blocker. Thomas has good hand placement getting underneath the pads of the offensive lineman, but lack of length is definitely a red mark, granted nothing he can do about that. Thomas is fairly quick off the line, which paid huge dividends in the final play goalline stand of the 4A state title game where Thomas slanted into the b gap and was one of the first Cadets to put a hat on the Cedartown FB. You really have to like the aggressiveness that Thomas shows throughout his film. He has good intensity at the point of attack, showing quick and strong hands getting off his blocks. He was very productive in 2022 and headed into 2023, Thomas will once again be an anchor on the Benedictine defensive line. Considering his blend of quickness, intensity, and just pure raw power, we feel like Thomas is pretty underrated at the moment among FCS/DII programs.
