Moorman is a plus athlete with the frame, strength, and athleticism that pops at the Class A level. The 2024 prospect has a pretty quick first step off the line. He shows good straight-line speed, and tons of intensity getting upfield – had an open-field tackle in special teams where he beat everyone downfield and practically tore the head off the returner. Moorman is most likely a defensive lineman at the next level, but you cannot completely discount his blocking either. He shows outstanding body control while engaged and finishes off some of his blocks with big knockdowns. Moorman is the type of player who can be an All-State here in 2023. He has solid weight-lifting numbers, very fluid athlete and we absolutely love his intensity throughout his film. Moorman reminds me some of Jason Poe from Fitzgerald from 5-6 years ago. Not saying Moorman is the same kind of player (we would like to see him finish his blocks more consistently plus see how his weight lifting has progressed since last fall) but there are certainly a lot of parallels to their general athleticism, strength at the point of attack, frame, and versatility. Plus, we just really like his intensity.
