Kelly was an All-State honorable mention player on our site last year after his terrific season where he had over 1500 all-purpose yards. The 2020 back is very good at planting his cleats in the turf and getting up field. Forward lean to his running stride allows him to break free arm tackles with relative ease. Definitely accelerates to his top speed quickly, and shows a natural swivel to his hips, allowing him to change directions well. Using his quickness more at the college level will be beneficial to the speed of the game. He’s a good back, but could see him be a little more patient and let his blocks settle before trying to buzz by every player. Smaller statured player who will most likely never have breakaway speed at the college level.
