Davidson is a heavy set tight end prospect that can maul a defender when blocking and by same virtue able to slip by for extra yardage when out receiving. He’s paving the way for one of the better rushers in GA in 2018 and put together a strong 2019 season too. As a junior he was more of a block-first tight end, but senior year his targets really ramped up. He splits between sniffer and TE. Making plays after the catch needs to improve. He took a step forward in that capacity, but Davidson is a 6’5″ 240 jumbo target and we would like to see him make more plays in the open field. Above all else, the senior is a good run blocker who does a nice job with hand placement in side the pads and keeps a pretty flat back while engaged. He is physical and does a nice job of driving his legs thru the block too. Hard to find a more physical tight with Davidson’s size still available in this recruiting class.
