Flounoy is an athletic defensive tackle for Colquitt, which has been one of the more consistent programs in the state over the last decade. The 2023 defensive lineman pops out of his stance with urgency and has good punch at the point of attack. With his strong hands and good leg drive, Flounoy is a disruptor up the middle of the field who can stuff the run or collapse the pocket. We really like how the 2025 defensive tackle fights off his blocks, beats several double teams on film, and continues to churn his legs thru the blockers. He has good pad level, so gets really good leverage, and can bull rush the offensive lineman back. Shows pretty light feet even, so pass rush skills should continue to progress. That said, we would like to see Flounoy continue to develop his swim move and generally show quicker hands getting off blocks. He is insanely strong up top, bench pressing 400 lbs. and can anchor the middle of the defensive despite being around 281 lbs. The Colquitt defensive lineman shows good instincts against the run and the pass. By and large, he’s a smart football player who can scrape off blocks, read screen passes, and generally seems to have a good beat on the play.  With only a handful of D1 offers at the moment, Flounoy is one of the biggest sleepers at DT in this recruiting class.
