Avery has not been on my radar really at all for the entire recruiting process, but the 2022 athlete can really move. His excellent top end speed has already broken off a few huge plays this season. He has good body composition with fluid movements as he changes directions plus the top end speed to burn a defense. Against North Springs in Game 1 this season he caught a slant down the middle and was able to change directions then accelerate around 4 closing defenders which really shows his talent. If he continues to make plays like this, it will be hard to see Avery not getting more D1 interest. He has a good frame to continue to add weight and end up being one of the steals in this recruiting class at slot receiver. His running stride is legit with a natural lean forward and already showing good ability to break tackles. Avery looks to be one to watch very closely.
