Ward certainly shows a lot of the same characteristics as his older brother, even wearing the same number. The long cornerback prospect out of Colquitt has a more slender build, but still brings a toughness when breaking up a pass or making a tackle. He has a nice long running gait. Very smooth looking. Needs some work with his backpedal and doesn’t have the exact same hip quickness. Given some more time in the weight room, Ward should end up in the 180’s. He’s already a big hitter who goes in for some gut-busting hits. Maybe free safety is the better situation for Ward. He has nice length and the speed to cover either sideline.
