Ford has good speed and just glides around defenders with really good reactions. Very elusive athlete, changes directions and just has a natural feel at reading the defender from distance and making them miss. Above average acceleration too – definitely improved here his senior year. Ford could play slot, running back or even safety at the next level if he doesn’t stick on an option team. Throwing is efficient and he completes about 50% at a great yard per attempt. Ball is not hanging up as much as last year, and pass is more on a line now, but still a work in progress. Ford reads the defense well though and makes pretty good decisions with the football – definitely the hallmark of a good option QB. He has been a starter now for three years, so definitely a battle tested athlete. Added about 5 lbs. over the last year, good frame though to continue to add more and be around 185-190 at the next level.
