What makes you stand out as a future collegiate athlete?

Athletic, catch anything

Smith has added 25 lbs. to his frame. The once stringy TE is now starting to fill out, and is looking a lot better blocking and making runs after the catch. Speaking of catching the football, Smith has some of the best hands in this recruiting class. Among tight ends, I’m not sure anyone in this recruiting class have hands like Smith. He catches the football away from his body, shows great timing with his leaping and doesn’t disrupted by defenders trying to rake out the pass. Smith made one of the best catches of the 2020 season where he rotated over and made a beautiful high-pointed catch with one hand. He reminds me of Aubry Payne from Locust Grove, who is now starting at TE at Georgia State. Just like Payne, Smith has been slow to add weight in high school, but we think the 2021 slot TE is set to be around 230 lbs. in college. He is one of the best that no one knows about at the moment.
