Davies has a D1 looking frame and profile moving around on the field, and that’s just looking at his fall film. Now, the 2022 recruit is reported one inch taller and 15 lbs. heavier. With his length and overall athleticism Davies is able to create a lot of turnovers. Davies is a legit weapon to have blitz off the ledge with his length and ability to change direction. He’s very good at scraping off blocks and getting into the backfield. Absolutely a FBS caliber athlete. Davies has absolutely slipped through the cracks at the moment. He needs to continue to work on his acceleration and just hitting his top speed quicker. That would be the biggest knock on Davies is lack of speed given his size, but love his hustle and length to dominate the outside. He’s a solid tackler meeting the ball carrier routinely at the waist, rarely do you see him tackle too high. Davies is a rock-solid football player, the type that should continue to grab D1 offers throughout his recruitment. The lack of explosiveness will deter a lot of FBS schools but that can change this fall with a strong showing.
