Barrow had an excellent season at Cedartown totaling 127 tackles, 80 solos and 13.5 tackles for a loss on the season. He earned All-State at linebacker in 4A and named Region Defensive Player of the Year. The long time starter at Cedartown is a really smart football player. He is an astute observer on the field who does an excellent job of tracking the football. Barrow is undersized for sure, but we do like his acceleration to the football. He is able to close quickly and a technically sound tackler in open spaces. We would like to see him continue to work on his agility and top end acceleration. A player with his lack of size can never be too quick. We love the way the 23 linebacker plays the game. He even has a solid impact in pass coverage breaking up 5 passes on the year and 1 interception. Barrow is a decleating tackler. His reactions to the play are so quick, he can get out to the flat and make a tackle right when the receiver catches the football. He’s a stout linebacker at about 5’10” and 210 lbs. Barrow can potentially add a little bit more weight, but shouldn’t be at the expense of losing his quickness/speed. Barrow is a solid all-around football player with excellent grades to boot. He should receive D1 interest no doubt.
