Barnes has good football speed, and the elusive wide receiver is capable of breaking around tacklers and then using his 10.92 100m speed into the open field for big plays. Barnes is a good spread receiver. He makes very smart cuts in the open field, and to say it bluntly, he is one of the more elusive receivers in this recruiting class. Barnes doesn’t have impressive weight lifting numbers and is only about 165 lbs. as it is. Barnes is pretty skilled as a receiver and finding open pockets in a zone defense. His speed and route running gives him some real versatility in where you can line him up. What I also like about Barnes is how he utilizes his blocks – he is pretty smart runner in general. You have to like Barnes film, even if he is undersized, there is no doubt in his ability as a playmaker, and given his natural elusive nature to his running, he should be an excellent route runner down the line.
