Young was a 2023 recruit that we were high on even just watching his freshman film. He’s grown to be 6’2″ and added about 45 lbs. since then. Young has good hands, continuously making plays in traffic. He has good body control collecting in the football. Excellent at making adjustments, spinning around while the ball is midflight to make the catch. Young is pretty good after the catch reading the defenders well to get around tacklers and having once again good body control to bounce off tacklers. He’s got above average ball skills and his route running is polished. Does he have the agility to get enough separation at the college level, we certainly think he needs to get more explosive coming out his cuts and just having a bigger impact on short to intermediate routes. He does have some of the better hands in this recruiting class.
