Brod had 81 tackles his junior year and made All-Region honors. He had close to 10 double digit tackles for loss, and should expect him to reach that number next fall as a senior. The tenacious 2021 linebacker gets downhill and is pretty quick into the backfield. He fights off blocks well. Needs a little bit of work in coverage, mostly working on hip flexibility and quickness. Brod hustles pretty well, and typically wraps up on his tackles around the thighs. His energy would be especially good on special teams. Considering his size, I would like to see him have a bigger impact in coverage, he is probably a WILL at the next level. Definitely a tough player, takes on blocks and doesn’t back down. Hits with sizeable authority, and should be over 200 lbs next year, so that could really help him even more in terms of production.
