Drummond has been hearing from high academic programs it seems primarily, but none have offered so far. The strong defensive prospect benches over 300 lbs., and that power translates over to the field where he wrangles ball carriers down with impactful tackles. He is pretty quick off the ball, plays with a ton of energy and passion for the game. I really like his energy levels, it’s just hard to teach a player who works his tail off like Drummond. He ended up with 40 tackles on the year and close to double digit sacks with 9. Drummond is the type of recruit if he was an inch or two taller that he would already have a handful of offers. Still, just watch his film. He is proficient at getting off blocks showing quick hands and some solid swim moves. Plays well with his eyes too, doesn’t seem to get faked out from play actions or read options and does a good job of blowing up the play. A lot of schools would like to see him at OLB I’m sure, and that is certainly an area to work him out this summer. He has a very good feel for the game, and reads the run play exceptionally well.
