Holman was off the edge for BEST last year. At 6’2″ and 210 lbs., he will have to fill out and be over 230 at the next level to be an effective edge. Holman is pretty slippery getting off his blocks but really needs to get better timing his jump. Coming out his stance, he routinely is a step too slow, and that’s the difference between getting a sack/tackle for loss or not. At the same time, he is pretty physical getting around his blocks or setting the edge. Holman needs to play with more consistent energy. The senior makes some nice pursuit tackles but would like to see him show more urgency still. There is no doubt, he is pretty strong up top and does a solid job of shedding his blocks getting good leverage. There is a lot of film of him being productively getting off blocks; Holman is tenacious in that respect. Right now most of his interest is at the DII level, but we are definitely intrigued by his frame and how his senior year plays out.
