Flowers made some nice plays in 2019. He is a long athlete who plays both ways at TE and DE for Hampton. Nice forward lean to his run and definitely a good looking athlete watching him in the open field even on kickoffs. He made a catch while double teamed that led to a top play on the website, but at this point in his development, we like him best as an OLB and DE. Flowers must have a basketball background, he is pretty flexible in the hips and changes directions well. Needs to really hone in on pass rush moves and getting more adept coming out his stance, probably why Hampton stands him up so much. Flowers lands a few big hits on film, solid motor making tackles from the backside. What we all want to know is how much weight can the lanky 2021 athlete gain. This offseason will be huge for him to develop in that area, but definitely like his upside in a 3-4 defense at OLB. Got a lot better at playing off the edge later in the season, really like his film against Eastside in early Nov. Needs a lot of work, but the athleticism to be an FBS football player is right there.
