Deion Fisher – MLB
ELCA

#34 MIDDLE LINEBACKER

HT: 6’2″
WT: 215
GPA: 4.2
ACT: 28
Class: 2020

Fisher was a later sign-up on our site. He took over at MLB after their big time senior from back in 2018 went off to Air Force. Fisher is an explosive tackler in the gaps, he has above average acceleration and considering his 6’2″ frame, he could really fill out well at MLB. Would like to see him keep his pads more parallel to the LOS when he is moving laterally. He does a pretty good job of reading the play with several interceptions on the year. He has pretty good speed – makes a good bit of plays out to the sideline. Would like to see him drop his hips more before making a tackle. Nice motor pursuing the ball carrier – just a lot of profile tackles that can end up being high. Overall, you have to like his length and general power making a tackle. The fundamentals can be cleaned up for sure, and from all accounts academically, the ELCA product should be a quick learner. Fisher does a very good job of fighting off blocks with above average agility to slide around the blocker too. Should get solid interest from D1 & D2 programs down the stretch here.
