Johnson gained close to 20 lbs in the last 8 months, and playing early on his senior year he has certainly made plays. Against Mundy’s Mill, Johnson had a 45 yard run where he barreled thru 4 defenders, never giving up and gave his team the go ahead score that ended up being the final result 21-20. Lovejoy hudl is on private, but right now Johnson is really emerging as one of the backs to watch for this fall. He put up good numbers as a junior and it’s looking legit so far this fall. Cannot deny how well he is playing right now. His speed is average though, and he doesn’t pull away too much from the defense breaking off long runs. Johnson is a straight line runner, he doesn’t juke much at all and just break thru arm tackles. Good pad level, very tough player – cannot teach that plus he plays with a lot of confidence. Definitely think the senior is worth a look.
