Johnson is a pretty solid DL recruit for the class of 2020, we have seen him go up against some top competition the last few years at Tucker, and before that, he got some good reps as a sophomore at Woodland. Scotty doesn’t give up on a game, we have seen him live enough to realize that the 2020 recruit has a legit motor. He is max effort, even at our combine where he was booking it on his 40. Johnson is a competitor too, and doesn’t slow down no matter what the score, which has been noteworthy each time we watch live. He uses his hands very well to get off blocks, and just has a natural feel of pursuing the ball carrier. The 2020 recruit doesn’t have a huge frame, and has capped at around 250 now for a few years. His best fit is at 3-4 DE at the next level. His quickness is pretty good, and Johnson should continue to be around 270 at the next level. Johnson’s max-effort approach to the game should be a welcomed addition to any college locker room.
