Starling is part of the big group of Pelham 2020 players that can really play the game of football. Starling is a tenacious player, he has excellent size which allows him to line up all over in Class A especially. What you have to like about the young athlete is his long running stride, Starling can really stride out and look explosive in the open field. Adding some extra muscle, and you can really see him take that to another level. Speaking of strength, Starling can step up quickly and really lay the lumber on a tackle. He is quick at reading an offensive passing play and does a nice job of rotating over and delivering a big hit to the receiver going down the middle. Starling figures to be a FS or SS at the next level. His coverage skills are just okay at this point, so it’s easier to see him lining up at SS.
