Eason has the frame that a lot of colleges are looking for at 6’3″. Just watching his film you can tell he needs some work in the weight room, as he doesn’t get a good push at all when engaged with a block. His length allows him to make mistakes and still have a pretty big impact getting into the backfield. Bad pursuit angles can be salvage with him diving and tripping the ball carrier up. Eason can certainly be the type of recruit that ends up around 210-225 in college and be a solid contributor at a number of levels, especially on special teams. He shows pretty good speed when out in coverage, does a nice job of keeping pads square to the LOS. Expecting a pretty big jump in his tackling fundamentals more than anything this year with the old DC from Westside Macon taking over, but overall the senior shows a good springy step to his game and the anticipation that should earn him quality college interest. Closer he gets to 200 the better.
