Howard is a spark plug type of player who shows above average speed for his body composition. He plays the game low, and really fires out of his stance at the snap. Currently he switches between LB and DL – his versatility and football IQ is something Washington HS really tries to exploit. I like how physical he plays the game, and when he first through a gap he delivers the punishment consistently whether to the blocker or RB. Howard doesn’t quite have the speed to play LB at the next level with out losing some weight. At this current point he will most likely develop into an undersized DT, but considering his ability to move across the LOS and makes plays I think D2 schools will be highly interested, especially with his diverse skill set.
