What makes you stand out as a future collegiate athlete?

Dennis ran for 1322 yards on the season and 20 touchdowns for Ware County on their way to become the 5A state champions. With about 180 carries on the year, Dennis’ usage was fairly high. He was able to grind out tough yardage but shows the ability to get out in space and break off long touchdown runs. What catches our eye with the 2024 back is his long-running gait. He hops out of tackles, gets upfield, and hits full stride fast. Dennis needs to work on his pad level though, especially when running through tackles. He doesn’t quite get low enough, and we would like to see him drive the pile more. We love his hustle and toughness on the field. Dennis has quick feet inside the box and is able to step out of tackles. Continuing to sharpen up his running vision, and getting lower with his pad level while also getting quicker laterally are key areas to improve. You get the sense that Dennis will be a quality back at the next level who can do a little bit of everything on the field. He doesn’t have the elite speed, but we like his ability to get out of tackles, the long stride to gash defenses, and his natural shiftiness in 1v1 situations where he can shake a defender out of their shoes. From our notes, Dennis has gained about 20 lbs. since last fall and is going into his senior way under the radar despite the impressive progress he has made in the weight room. We think it translates and Dennis should be set for an All-State caliber season in 2023 and that will catapult his recruitment to another level.

Yes he is a great running back reminds me of Bo Jackson and Derick Henry

    1. He’s a tough north-south running back for sure. I think he is set for a big senior year.
