What makes you stand out as a future collegiate athlete?

Hopper has had multiple family members play college football at the FBS level, and with no doubt, the 2024 prospect will be next. With a long wing span that has helped the cornerback have one of the best break-up radiuses in this recruiting class. He’s been on major colleges recruiting boards since his sophomore year. He has very good football instincts breaking on the pass, and junior year he had some huge tackles in space. Hopper is pretty good playing the run, but we would like to see him be more active getting off blocks. He has a frame that allows for a lot of versatility at the next level. To us, he looks like more of a boundary corner or FS for that matter, but would like to see him clean up his pursuit angles. With his good acceleration to the football though and how we suspect Hopper will fill out at the next level, we feel like that FS is a very likely scenario. Hopper shows too many flashes to not like his upside, especially when you consider his length and his good training in man coverage. It seems like some colleges have cooled on the 2024 prospect, but we suspect that to change his senior year. You have to like what he is working on this offseason, really focused on getting quicker with his feet, so we are excited to see how that translates over to this fall’s film. Hopper is a 2024 prospect that P5 needs to keep tabs on this fall in our opinion.
